Don’t Brush After Eating!

Well…after eating some foods, that is. In a research study, tooth enamel specimens dipped in citric acids then brushed 60 minutes later actually lost less substance than when brushed immediately. If you’re at risk for tooth erosion, it may be best to wait an hour after eating erosive foods like fruits, salads or sports drinks containing citric acid. Although when it comes to stuff like caramels and cotton candy, the sooner the better!
